Getting ready to run my first marathon, and find a lot of good wisdom and encouragement in this book.
Easy to read, and if you’re running your first marathon, lots of good training tips and things to ponder for the big day.
Highly recommend.

I’m running my first marathon in the fall. I’ve been a runner for 14 yrs and have done 4 half marathons but never a full one. So I wanted a simple A-Z book to read to prepare & train me mentally & physically. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is the book!

Interesting, well-written and informative book. It is truly a book for first-timers, however, and most of the information -although relevant to running- is general, for the large public. She does cover most if not all topics that you might want to read about. It is a good inspiration especially if you doubt you can run a marathon.

I wish I had this book when I was running my first marathon. I bought it, and was curious to see how I did. Apparently I made a fair amount of beginner’s mistakes. Now that I have this though, I will be a more formidable opponent in the next marathon I run.
